Promotion Final Phase: we upgrade the promotion inside and outside of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. 500 posters was pasted all over around UTP, which were helped by all Convofair 09 committees. Plus, in order to promote Convofair 09 outside of UTP, we, Promotion and Publication Department make a field trip to cover up the promotions from Ipoh to Lumut. Thanks to HRM Department, PNP Department's burden was eased by gotting ten cars and five peoples each car as our manpower for the day.
Starting from 8:00 am till night, 1500 A3 poster and 1600 A4 flyers were finished, from UTP to Ipoh and Lumut. The work is really just for Convofair 09. Even some of the committees got fever after returning from the field trip. Anyway, we heard some unexpected thing happened, that some of us get chased out by mall security guards.
We would like to say thank you to all committees. Commitment to a vision.
This year’s Convofair is special to their committees. They themselves have become legends to organise this annual event, whether to successfully organise Convofair09 by saving it from H1N1 or make it the worst Convofair in the history.

As a precaution to avoid this fast-spreading influenza from infecting the others, unfortunately, many events had to be cancelled. Many of the committees work had being jeopardised leaving some scars in their hearts. The committees would like to apologise to all participants that would join those cancelled events which are Moment with Orphans, Treasure Hunt, and Bowling Tournament. Nevertheless, Convofair09’s committees had pledged “Commitment to a Vision” to make the event as meaningful as possible.
Trust to whom? Trust to ourselves! We can save it, we can make it happen, and this is the last battle.

For this year Convofair Family Day, we went north to Kedah and Perlis. We departed from UTP around 7.30am with 3 buses. The first stop was SIRIM Amrec which in Kulim Hi-Tech Park. We have been given a short briefing about SIRIM. After that, we headed to Gunung Jerai Park to have lunch. We were supposed to climb the mountain on that day, but due to some issues we headed straight to MRSM Beseri and IKM Beseri where those two places became our place to stay for two nights. At night, we were divided into 10 groups and we have done some activities handled by HRM.
We woke up early in the morning because this day we went to Padang Besar to spend our money for shopping! Back from Padang Besar we gathered at MRSM Beseri Hall for sharing sessions with the form 5 student. That night, all committees had performed according to the 10 groups that had assigned a night before. After that, we enjoyed our BBQ supper.
We checked out from MRSM Beseri and IKM Beseri about 8.30am. Next destination was Gunung Jerai again but this time we climbed all the way up to the peak. Some of us walking, climbing and running to reach the top. But there are few numbers of us taking motorized vehicle straight to the top due to health reason. We spent about two hours at the top to enjoy the fabulous scenery. After that, we went down and had our lunch there. That was the last activity for this Family Day. We went back to UTP after that and arrived about 10.00pm.More pictures will be uploaded later. Click here for more photos!
